Apple Growers Want Out of ENZA - Angry apple growers in Hawkes Bay have called for an end to ENZA’s export monopoly. 200 orchardists met in Havelock North last night to discuss the disastrous slump in Braeburn apple prices due to competition for countries in South America and South Africa. The growers incomes have been slashed in half due to the price slump. Many say they will go to the wall.
