Ponsonby residents are wondering if they
have an arsonist in their midst.
There have been two fires
at an Auckland City community centre in the past
month.
Last night over a dozen fire appliances were called
to the Ponsonby Community Centre, the century old building
was well ablaze.
It took fire fighters over an hour to
control the blaze. The community centre is gutted. The
centre manager says an unknown person had earlier tried to
set the centre alight.
Two weeks ago, and about one
kilometre away, the Freemans Bay Community Centre was almost
destroyed by
fire.

Yet now with (a) President Barack Obama weighing in on the side of artistic freedom and calling for the US to make a ‘proportionate response’quickly followed by (b) North Korea’s entire Internet service going down, and with both these events being followed by (c) Sony deciding to backtrack and release The Interview film that had made it a target for the dastardly North Koreans in the first place, then ay caramba…the whole world will now be watching how this affair pans out.
