Auckland City Council - City Scene

Auckland City's millennium celebrations are shaping up as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Planning for the blockbuster events is on track and organisers are urging Aucklanders to plan ahead to make the best of their time on New Year's Eve and the dawn of New Year's Day.

A special supplement inside this week's "City Scene" describes the four, free public events which offer a huge range of entertainment and performance to choose from.

A further supplement early next month will give further details of arrangements for the millennium events, including parking, special buses and harbour ferries.
