Sharechat Launches Netbroker

ShareChat ( ), New Zealand's number one sharemarket chat and information website, today announced the launch of NetBroker, a discount online share trading service.

"NetBroker provides online trading at very competitive prices" says Benjamin Dutton, Managing Director of ShareChat Limited. "Considering our position as New Zealand's top sharemarket chat and information site, it was a natural progression for us to offer a discount trading service to our community."

NetBroker brokerage rates will make share trading cheaper for New Zealanders. Trades under the value of $10,000 have a flat rate of $29, with 0.1% on the amount in excess of $10,000. For only a small extra cost, NetBroker also allows trading on three business-days credit for those clients who want the extra flexibility of being able to trade without having funds on deposit.

"Some other Internet sharebrokers do not allow their clients to trade on credit", Mr Dutton said. "At NetBroker, we know that for serious traders, having a credit facility is a must, and this is why we are offering this service."

Trades will be processed by Direct Broking, a NZSE member.

Online trading has proved very popular overseas, and New Zealand is set to follow the trend. "More New Zealanders are realising that trading online is a cheap and powerful way to control their investments" says Mr Dutton. "NetBroker is the perfect trading service for these people."
