nzoom Launches Arnold Travel Booking

TVNZ's internet business, nzoom.com has joined with TEK Travel to bring to New Zealanders, ARNOLD - the world's most advanced online travel booking system. The joint venture company, ARNOLD Limited, has successfully negotiated an exclusive New Zealand licence which will give consumers for the first time the ability to get instant online access to the best of over 50,000 airfare opportunities.

ARNOLD will offer the best of both airline and travel agency deals, as well as giving the consumer the ability to make online purchases, right down to choosing and reserving the actual seat itself.

Managing Director of nzoom, Simon Aimer says nzoom is playing a lead role by using its position as New Zealand's leading local content site, along with its design and technical skills, to bring the world-first service to the market.

Keryn Smith, TEK Travel Group Managing Director says TEK Travel offers the joint venture their unique and very powerful EFARES database which ensures access to the best fares available locally and internationally, offered by both travel agents or directly by the airlines themselves.

"The joint venture expects that ARNOLD will be welcomed by existing travel distribution companies as well as being attractive to online vendors as a whole," he says.
