Trade Me To Auction Kiwiflatmates.Com Equipment |
||
Trade Me is to auction the computing equipment used behind the highly successful kiwiflatmates.com website. The auctions will include computers, servers, software licenses and other equipment used to operate the site, which was the largest live streaming event ever held in New Zealand.
“These auctions are a good example of how businesses can use Trade Me to sell excess equipment, obsolete or end-of-line stock”, Managing Director Sam Morgan says. “Trade Me offers a large audience and commissions under 5% across the board – a real alternative to using a traditional auction.”
Trade Me has over 50,000 registered bidders and currently hosts 40,000 auctions per month. These auctions follow other high profile auctions including the sale of the PC’s used at the APEC conference in Auckland.
Full details of the auctions will be posted on the Trade Me web site ( http://www.trademe.co.nz) later today.
