Green Acres Trade Services Taps Into MasterTrade

On the back of initial master franchise sales, Green Acres Trade Services has signed a preferred supplier agreement with New Zealand’s leading trade services wholesaler, MasterTrade Ltd (MasterTrade).

The three year agreement will see Green Acres Trade Services work closely with MasterTrade to provide a full range of products - including electrical, plumbing and support services - for its customers nationwide.

Logan Sears, Executive Director of Green Acres Trade Services, says that the agreement signifies an important new relationship for both companies. “Continued growth of business created an opportunity to work closely with a leading trade services supplier - such as MasterTrade - which would enhance our capabilities and strengthen the position of both companies.

“This arrangement will enable Green Acres Trade Services to have access to a range of competitively priced quality trade product and services, which will further enable our franchisees to provide a broader product offering tailored to home owners’ preferences.”

According to MasterTrade’s Business Development Manager, Roger Sauvarin, the critical factor that led to the agreement was the fit between the two companies.

“Green Acres Trade Services goal of providing its end customers with quality services is commensurate with MasterTrade’s strong commitment to provide the highest quality in trade service products for its network customers in a convenient, one-stop format.

“We chose to partner also on the basis of the trusted brand name of Green Acres, growing experience in the trade services segment, flexibility of the relationships attested to by existing customers and the commitment and delivery capability demonstrated by their track record. Further, we were impressed by Green Acres’ reputation as one of New Zealand’s leading franchise operations and its clear customer focus.”

The agreement will provide higher visibility and brand recognition for MasterTrade’s electrical and plumbing products due to Green Acres Trade Services franchisees ability to offer products and services to its customer base.

“As MasterTrade is at the forefront of the wholesale trade services industry (with 49 branches nationwide) and a specialist in total supply solutions, we are able to reduce the total cost of ownership and improve supply chain efficiency for companies such as Green Acres Trade Services,” adds Sauvarin. “Via our extensive branch network throughout the country, they will be able to take advantage of MasterTrade’s knowledge and experience in selling trade service products to a wide range of clients.”

“Importantly, it will allow MasterTrade to grow its customer base, plus enable the company to cement its position as New Zealand’s leading trade services wholesaler,” adds Sauvarin.

According to Sears, the agreement has far reaching implications for the wholesale trade services market in New Zealand. “Not only does it extend Green Acres Trade Services product offering and service, it will place the company in a strong position to expand its franchisee business.”

“Green Acres Trade Services is committed to meeting the needs of New Zealanders for all electrical, plumbing or painting related jobs,” adds Sears. “We treat our customers as number one and this arrangement ensures we can continue to provide them with the best trade products at the most competitive prices.”

Green Acres Trade Services began trading as an unlisted security, under the NZSE trading system in October, 2001.
