BP Drops Prices Back

BP today dropped its petrol prices by two cents and diesel prices by four cents saying it would always price competitively.

BP had lifted its prices on Monday night (13 May).

The price drop takes effect immediately.

BP Managing Director Peter Griffifths said the price increase was justified as international crude and fuel product costs continue to rise.

Crude prices rose last night by the equivalent of one cent a litre.

“The level of competition in New Zealand is so intense that everyone is fighting to have the best prices,” Mr Griffiths said.
