Fletcher Challenge Forests Announces Distribution Of Notice Of Meeting In Respect Of CNIFP


Auckland, 22 July 2002 – Fletcher Challenge Forests announced today that it had begun distributing to shareholders the Notice of Meeting and Explanatory Memorandum in respect of the proposed acquisition of the assets of the Central North Island Forest Partnership.

Copies of the documents will be available on the company website (www.fcf.co.nz). Up to date information will continue to be posted on the website as it becomes available. In addition, free-phone help lines and an email address have been established, where shareholders can get assistance.

The special meeting of shareholders to consider the proposed acquisition will be held at 2:00 pm on 13 August 2002, at the ASB Bank Stand, Eden Park, Auckland.
