Simpson Grierson Announces New Appointment

Simpson Grierson is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenda Macdonald to the position of Marketing Director.

With over 12 years of marketing experience at both a strategic and implementation level and experience working with both local and international clients, Glenda will be responsible for directing the firm's overall strategic, marketing, planning, branding and communications programmes.

Her new role will include facilitating client development through marketing and client service programmes, as well as providing professional management advice and guidance to the partnership which will enable the firm to maximise new business opportunities that promote and enhance the profile of Simpson Grierson.

Glenda's industry background includes marketing leadership roles in the pharmaceutical, medical, oil, film, media and advertising industries.

Career highlights include winning the TVNZ/Marketing Magazine Supreme Marketing award for her work at Roche Products launching the prescription weight management drug Xenical®; repositioning Roche Products in the top three pharmaceutical companies (from tenth place in the market); and the development and implementation of a unique customer relationship management strategy for a number of New Zealand companies.

Glenda is a fully qualified General and Obstetric Nurse, a trained counsellor and psychotherapist. She holds a diploma in Health Economics and is a graduate of the Columbia Business Programme.
