Accommodation Survey December 2002

Total guest nights trend is 6 percent higher in December 2002 when compared with December 2001.

Total guest nights were 3 percent higher in December 2002 when compared with December 2001.

Guest nights in the North Island were up 3 percent, while South Island guest nights were up 4 percent in December 2002 when compared with December 2001.

The Auckland region contributed 44 percent of the increase in total guest nights in December 2002.
