NZ Meat and Fibre Producers' Conference/AGM

The New Zealand Meat and Fibre Producers' (NZMFP) Conference and Annual General Meeting will be held on 8 - 9 April at the Mercure Hotel, Wellington.

An industry group of Federated Farmers of New Zealand, NZMFP represents the interests of 9,000 meat and fibre producers.

NZMFP Chair Murray Taggart is pleased to have the Minister of Agriculture Hon Jim Sutton opening the conference.

Producer board reform will be a major topic of discussion with Meat New Zealand chair Jeff Grant, and SheepCo chair Mike Petersen addressing the meeting.

Other speakers include Richard Bentley, Wool Equities Limited the commercial arm of the Wool Board and Damian Camp, from Ovita a research consortium of AgResearch, Meat New Zealand and the New Zealand Wool Board. Plus John Dalziell, of the Animal Health Board (Inc) and the Federation's Chief Executive Tony St. Clair will also address the meeting.
