Talks on in coal mines dispute
Talks resume tomorrow (Tuesday) between Solid Energy and miners from the Strongman and Spring Creek mines.
The 88 miners from the two mines near Greymouth struck for 55 hours last week over a breakdown in negotiations for a new collective employment agreement.
They say they are the lowest-paid underground miners in New Zealand, earning 20 per cent less than their colleagues at Huntly.
The miners returned to work on Saturday morning.
