Trade New Zealand Export Awards Finalists

Trade New Zealand Export Awards - Full List Of Finalists Released

Exporters Compete For Top Prize

The country’s top exporters for 2003 will be announced at the Export Awards dinner in Christchurch next week (June 12), with one of the 31 finalists being named New Zealand’s Supreme Exporter of the Year.

The full list of 31 finalists and the categories they are competing for are listed below.

Trade New Zealand Acting CEO Rod MacKenzie says Awards will be presented across nine export sector categories – naming the Exporter of the Year in each category. These include the Agritech & Life Sciences Exporter of the Year, the Building, Wood & Interiors Exporter of the Year, Consumer Products Exporter of the Year, Design & Creative Exporter of the Year, Education Exporter of the Year, Engineering Exporter of the Year, Food & Beverages Exporter of the Year, Information Communications & Technology Exporter of the Year, and the Services Exporter of the Year.

One of these nine category winners will then become New Zealand’s Supreme Exporter for 2003. An award will also be presented to Trade New Zealand’s emerging exporter of the year.* “Trade New Zealand’s annual Export Awards recognise New Zealand’s brightest export stars and their outstanding achievements,” says Mr MacKenzie. “They are a great opportunity to showcase inspirational companies, both large and small, that are achieving success internationally through smart business practices, innovation and plain hard work.

“All 31 Export Award winners are to be congratulated on their success so far – their Awards are a major achievement. Now we wish them the best of luck for the big night naming the Exporters of the Year next week.”
