Franchise Association of New Zealand Media Award

Franchise Association of New Zealand Media Award

Franchise Awards - Media Prize

2 October 2003

MEDIA ENTRIES INVITED FOR

Franchise Association of New Zealand Media Award

Journalists, writers and editors are invited to submit their stories on franchising to the judges of the Franchise Association of New Zealand’s annual Media Award.

The winner of the Award will be announced at the Awards Presentation Dinner at the Hyatt Auckland Hotel on Saturday 1 November. The judges will also compile a story list of their own, comprising reporting on a range of franchising subjects.

The winner will receive a trophy recognising the journalist’s efforts to present informed and accurate reporting of franchising activity.

The Media Award is aimed at encouraging greater awareness and understanding of franchising, the role it plays in the business community and its contribution to the economy as a whole. Last year’s award was won by Jon Stephenson, freelance journalist.

Franchising accounts for $10.4 billion of business activity per year and the Franchise Association has identified media as a key area for education about this growing business sector.

Media are invited to submit entries to The Franchise Association of New Zealand, PO Box 23-364, Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand. Closing date for entries is 23 October 2003.
