Nuplex Continues Successful Expansion in Australia

- Nuplex Captures New Technology for Adhesives -

Statement made by John Hirst, Managing Director, Nuplex Industries Limited

Nuplex Industries has acquired new technology in Australia today that has significance for its Resin business.

The new technology was purchased from Rhodia Australia for an undisclosed sum and gives Nuplex rights to certain business and technology related to pressure sensitive adhesives.

The acquired know-how will augment Nuplex’s own technologies to enable its Resins business to be a full service provider to a high growth market sector.

Pressure sensitive adhesives are used in the manufacture of permanent, temporary and deep freeze labels, packaging tapes, masking tape, and a range of construction and flooring adhesives.

The new technology represents a strategic investment for Nuplex Resins that will deliver immediate benefits and positive returns over the long-term.

The new technology was purchased by Nuplex’s Australian company.
