Relief Trust Account reaches $150,000 milestone

Funds donated to Feilding and District Relief Trust Account reaches $150,000 milestone

Over $151,000 has so far been donated to the Feilding and District Relief Trust Account.

The total amount donated by the public at Bank of New Zealand branches throughout the country since the account began is now over $126,000.

Over $12,200 was donated today alone.

The funds raised will be placed in a trust account and distributed by a committee set up by the Manawatu District Council.

Bank of New Zealand contributed $25,000 to the trust.

Sky City : Auckland Convention Centre Cost Jumps By A Fifth

SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino and hotel operator, is in talks with the government on how to fund the increased cost of as much as $130 million to build an international convention centre in downtown Auckland, with further gambling concessions ruled out. The Auckland-based company has increased its estimate to build the centre to between $470 million and $530 million as the construction boom across the country drives up building costs and design changes add to the bill.
