New President and Vice President appointed
Richard Giltrap, Managing Director of European Motor Distributors took over as President of the Motor Industry Association at the Annual General Meeting held last Thursday (11 March). Richard has extensive involvement within the motor industry including managing retail vehicle dealerships. For the last six years Richard has worked as Managing Director of European Motor Distributors, importers and distributors of Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda and Porsche vehicles and parts.
Richard replaces Graeme Seymour who has stepped down after a two year term of office.
John Leighton,
Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Limited
was elected as Vice President. John also has an extensive
history within the motor industry where he has worked for
almost 30 years. The early part of John’s career was spent
in manufacturing and assembly operations. John was
appointed Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors in 1998,
following the closure of the CKD assembly
operation.
