Ginger Cat With Star Qualities Required

Situations Vacant: Ginger Cat With Star Qualities Required

Catapult your pet cat into the limelight!

The FRISKIES GO-CAT marketing team is currently scouring the nation for a lively, entertaining ginger cat that is not only smart but a little bit cheeky, to star in a new advertising campaign.

Says Senior Brand Manager, Megan Denize, “We’re looking for a ginger cat with a playful, friendly, “can-do” attitude.”

“Strong social skills, an appetite for fun, and extreme playfulness will all contribute to a winning performance, but previous acting experience is not essential.”

“We’ve found our previous stars have come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Let’s face it, cats are naturally adventurous and fun-loving creatures. This is a great chance for a cat who loves to show off to become a celebrity for a day!”

Ambitious felines will participate in an audition process over the coming weeks to determine which cat has the biggest appetite for life. The field of entrants will be narrowed down to three finalists, and then a final winner.

Not only will the winning cat and its owner be given star treatment for a day at a special photoshoot for part of the new FRISKIES GO-CAT advertising campaign, they will also walk away with a year’s supply of FRISKIES GO-CAT products and $1,000 cash. The two runners up will each receive a year’s supply of FRISKIES GO-CAT and $500 cash.

HOW TO ENTER:

Send in a copy of your favourite photograph of your ginger cat explaining, in one paragraph, why your cat could be a FRISKIES GO-CAT cat. Write your name, address and daytime telephone number on the back of an envelope and post the photo and explanation to “FRISKIES GO-CAT Cat for a Day” DX Box CX10401, Auckland. Please include a barcode from any FRISKIES GO-CAT pack to validate your entry. Or email a digital photo to friskies.gocat@nz.nestle.com along with your name, address, telephone number, and your explanation. Please type the barcode of any FRISKIES GO-CAT pack into your email to validate your entry.

Entries close at midnight on Monday 12 April 2004. The three finalists will be selected and notified on Tuesday 13 April 2004. The winning cat and owner must be available to attend the photoshoot in Auckland on Monday 19 April 2004. For full details, see http://www.nestle.co.nz/competitions.

Sky City : Auckland Convention Centre Cost Jumps By A Fifth

SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino and hotel operator, is in talks with the government on how to fund the increased cost of as much as $130 million to build an international convention centre in downtown Auckland, with further gambling concessions ruled out. The Auckland-based company has increased its estimate to build the centre to between $470 million and $530 million as the construction boom across the country drives up building costs and design changes add to the bill.
