Bigbold Red Book Set To Take Over Old Favourite

Bigbold Red Book Set To Take Over From Old Favourite

APN Infomedia has revamped its well-known UBD business directory to a smaller, easy-to-use format that will be known as UBD InfoRed.

The move is the first of a number of initiatives promised by APN Infomedia, formerly UBD Group, since it underwent a significant restructure recently.

The UBD database is New Zealand’s most comprehensive database of business information. With over 150,000 business names and 250,000 executives’ names, UBD supplies data lists, data base matching and cleaning plus direct marketing services.

APN Infomedia General Manager Peter Batcheler, says that the InfoRed hard-copy directory has significant benefits over it predecessor.

“The smaller size of the new directory and the bright red colour are the obvious differences,” said Batcheler. “InfoRed still contains the same amount of information as the old directory, but additional features are included such as up-to-date maps, company search sections and trade category sections - all in a more concise and easy to use format which I think users will be very pleased with.

“One of the improvements we have made is to reduce the number of category headings from over 6000???? to 1800????. This will make it a lot more straightforward for users to find the listings they are after.

Batcheler says the gathering of listings for the first edition of InfoRed is well underway, with the first edition of InfoRed due out in December. InfoRed will have an audited circulation of over 35,000.
