Notice of Northland Meeting

The newly-created province of Federated Farmers of New Zealand (FFNZ) in Northland will holds its inaugural annual meeting on Tuesday, May 4.

The meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m., St. John's Ambulance Hall, Western Hills Road, Whangarei.

Attendees will include FFNZ President Tom Lambie, Chief Executive Tony St. Clair, and Employment Relations Manager Sarah Borrell.

Please note that the meeting may go into committee at any time, during which time media may be asked to leave.

Sky City : Auckland Convention Centre Cost Jumps By A Fifth

SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino and hotel operator, is in talks with the government on how to fund the increased cost of as much as $130 million to build an international convention centre in downtown Auckland, with further gambling concessions ruled out. The Auckland-based company has increased its estimate to build the centre to between $470 million and $530 million as the construction boom across the country drives up building costs and design changes add to the bill.

Statistics: Current Account Deficit Widens
