Hyundai dealership number 21 in Invercargill

Hyundai opens yet another dealership this week when the distinctive blue and silver signage goes up on Robbie Baxter Hyundai in Invercargill.

Some of the crew from Hyundai Sports Café, including Ric Salizzo, will be at the official launch on Wednesday 12th May.

Robbie Baxter is predicting a bright future for Hyundai in Southland, as the fast-growing Korean manufacturer continues to win accolades in New Zealand and around the world.

“I’ve long admired the Hyundai brand and a close look at the range today suggests it’s very well suited to the driving needs of our area,” said Robbie Baxter.

“The passenger car lineup is strong and exciting things are happening in four-wheel drives.”

“Hyundai is known for the quality and reliability of its vehicles, its value for money … and nowadays for its strong growth,” said Robbie Baxter. “Those are all things we’ve specialised in over the years.”

Widely known and respected, the dealership boasts a proud history dating back almost 35 years. The “Baxter Distinction” signifies Robbie’s stringent buying policy on quality and authenticity of Japanese imports.

“It’s great to welcome Robbie Baxter to the Hyundai network,” commented the General Manager of Hyundai Automotive New Zealand Philip Eustace.

“Go ahead, is what we say about Hyundai and that’s as true about Robbie Baxter as it is throughout New Zealand.

“Exciting things are happening around the country for Hyundai right now, as they are internationally.”

The appointment of Robbie Baxter Hyundai follows that of Wings and Wheels Hyundai, Taupo, on the 7th April.

It comes just as Hyundai is being lauded internationally for its dramatic leap to a close second place in important American quality rankings, and with the brand about to reach 10 million exports.

Hyundai is also launching its widely anticipated new Tucson SUV in New Zealand on 1August.

The launch of Robbie Baxter Hyundai brings the national network to 21 dealerships and six authorised parts and service agents. They are:

Sky City : Auckland Convention Centre Cost Jumps By A Fifth

SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino and hotel operator, is in talks with the government on how to fund the increased cost of as much as $130 million to build an international convention centre in downtown Auckland, with further gambling concessions ruled out. The Auckland-based company has increased its estimate to build the centre to between $470 million and $530 million as the construction boom across the country drives up building costs and design changes add to the bill.
