Polaris shows the way out at Fieldays

Polaris shows the way out at Fieldays

Surely the most diverse range of farm vehicles at Fieldays next week will be on the Polaris stand.

As well as numerous different models of ATV four-wheeler the US brand will display a subtle variation, the ATP all-terrain pickup, plus something completely different, the Polaris Ranger utility.

Befitting a brand celebrating its 50th anniversary of providing the way out, Polaris has made more innovations in the ATV industry than all other brands combined. Polaris's technical expertise is display at Mystery Creek.

The Ranger is an off-road ute ideal for farm, horticulture, orchard, lifestyle block, golf course or anywhere utility meets versatility. It's a three-seater driven like a car, available in 2x4 and 4x4 drive formats.

Polaris's smaller pickup, the ATP, was named this year's ATV of the Year by the world's largest industry publication. It's the third Polaris ATV to receive the award in as many years.

Polaris introduced the ATP, extending the entire ATV industry, to "do more, more easily". Engine sizes are 330 and 500cc. With a special 'turf' mode for light footprint and tight turning, the Polaris ATP has found homes in New Zealand from cemetery maintenance to horse stud.

Many farmers will gravitate to the Polaris Magnum, the model built just for New Zealand and Australian farms. In 2x4, 4x4 and true all-wheel 4WD, the Magnum is respected as the best ride and value in its class. See it in 330 and 500cc sizes.

The farmer needing more power and versatility will look at the Sportsman range, the world's best-selling line of ATVs.

Pride of place this year goes to the 700 EFI with electronic fuel injection harnessing the water-cooled parallel twin engine to create the most powerful, smoothest-riding ATV ever seen in this country.

More sporty yet? Check out the Polaris Scrambler, which puts an entirely new recreational spin on ATV riding. You can work with this way out bike, then have fun at the weekends.

Or pluck up the courage for the Predator 500 sports quad, simply the baddest ATV ever put on wheels.

You'll even see the Watercraft of the Year on the Polaris stand: the MSX heads a range of personal watercraft seating one to four people.

So the list of uses for Polaris vehicles goes well beyond the farm gate. There's even a special range of children's ATVs, which come with a free helmet.

Polaris has dealers the length of New Zealand, part of a worldwide network covering 126 countries with more than 50 distributors and five subsidiaries.

Polaris is the world's largest snowmobile manufacturer and one of the largest US manufacturers of ATVs and personal watercraft.

Polaris Sales Australia & New Zealand is a fully-owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries, which totally designs, engineers, manufactures and markets its own machines including the Polaris Ranger for utility and recreational use.

New Zealanders can access information about the complete line of Polaris products from authorised Polaris dealers or on the net at: www.polarissales.co.nz
