Transfield Services Appoints Alliance Support Manager

David Long has joined infrastructure maintenance company, Transfield Services (NZ) Ltd, as Alliance Support Manager for the Toll Rail contract.

David is responsible for delivering the operational support components of the outsource services provided to Toll Rail. His key responsibilities include the management of procurement and inventory, health, safety and the environment, employee relations and training, risk management, and quality assurance.

David has an engineering and operations management background, with 17 years service in the New Zealand Air Force before joining Transfield Services. He is a chartered engineer and has degrees in Engineering and Commerce from The University of Auckland.

Sky City : Auckland Convention Centre Cost Jumps By A Fifth

SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino and hotel operator, is in talks with the government on how to fund the increased cost of as much as $130 million to build an international convention centre in downtown Auckland, with further gambling concessions ruled out.
