Contact Launches Red Energy in Victoria

Contact Energy’s new Australian retail business, Red Energy, was launched this morning in Melbourne, Victoria.

The Victorian Minister for Energy Industries and Resources, the Hon Theo Theophanous MP, welcomed the new player to the state and officially opened Red Energy’s new head office in East Richmond, Melbourne.

As indicated to shareholders at Contact’s Annual Meeting in February, the launch of Red Energy is part of Contact’s long-stated strategic intention to grow its Australian interests.

Red Energy officially began trading on June 23.
