The Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA) today announced the winners of the CTFA and Jasmine awards for excellence in articles about Cosmetics and Fragrances.

The Awards given annually were presented at a special ceremony this morning held in Aucklands Wintergarden Pavillion with around 75 media and industry representatives present.

This years competition from more than 70 entries was so tight that even runners up were given special mention for the Cosmetics award prior to the announcement of the winners.

Two awards are given by the CTFA. These are the CTFA Award for articles about Cosmetics and the Jasmine Award for articles about Fragrances. Each award has two categories promoting Literary Excellence and Visual Excellence.

"The CTFA congratulates the winners on articles that rank as world class" said Garth Wyllie Executive Director of the CTFA.

Sky City : Auckland Convention Centre Cost Jumps By A Fifth

SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino and hotel operator, is in talks with the government on how to fund the increased cost of as much as $130 million to build an international convention centre in downtown Auckland, with further gambling concessions ruled out. The Auckland-based company has increased its estimate to build the centre to between $470 million and $530 million as the construction boom across the country drives up building costs and design changes add to the bill.
