Sunday Star-Times Appoints New Political Editor
Award winning journalist Helen Bain has been appointed Political Editor of the Sunday Star-Times. Bain, 32, is a multiple Qantas award winner with strong credentials as a political journalist including four years in the Gallery for the Dominion during Richard Long's editorship
In her 12 -year career, spanning posts with The Dominion, The Australian, the Sunday Star-Times and the The Dominion Post she established a commanding voice both as a columnist, news breaker and feature writer. She returns to the Star-Times as political editor after writing the biography of MP John Tamihere, for whom she has worked as press secretary for the past 18months.
“I am delighted Helen has chosen to return to journalism in such a pivotal role for our paper” said Sunday Star-Times editor Cate Brett.
