Business Council applauds bi-partisan position on super fund
The New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development (the Business Council) applauds National’s support for the superannnuation fund.
Rob Fenwick, Chair said: “National’s decision takes the uncertainty out of the debate and means that the two major parties can focus on having a constructive discussion about how to provide a sustainable fund through this century. People need to be confident that funds will be available for their retirement.
“Bi-partisan politics on issues which have a long term benefit can only be positive for New Zealand.
“Oppositions position themselves to become Government when they start taking on the responsibility of being Government.”
