Putting Your Best Breast(s) Forward

Are you one of those women who wilfully ‘booby traps’ their own breasts? Do you commit bra crimes such as the ‘saggy baggy’ look or the ‘four breast’ syndrome on a regular basis. Do you need help dealing with ‘ducks bill’, where the bottom of the bra is full but the top is wrinkly, or combating ‘east to west’ swing, where breasts just want to hide under the arms?

Wearing the wrong size bra is something up to 70% of Kiwi women do every day, so this month Bendon stores throughout New Zealand come to the rescue with a Bra Fitting Fortnight, where women can be professionally fitted for free.

Finding a perfect fitting bra can be a daunting task with many women falling into the ‘booby trap’ by either making do with what they always have had, or simply guessing their bra size. Some of the most common complaints – easily solved with expert advice – include bra cups that are wrinkly at the top and sides, breasts that bulge over the bra at the side, back and front, and bras that ride up.

Clare Morgan, Bendon General Manager, Marketing, says women should be fitted every time they buy a new bra. “Wearing the wrong sized bra may not just affect appearance; it can also affect women’s health. Incorrectly fitted bras can be responsible for problems with the skin, back and posture, as well as causing obvious discomfort to the breasts,” she says.

Bendon is inviting women to visit one of their many lingerie retail stores during the Bra Fitting Fortnight, starting Monday 20 June and finishing 3 July, for a complimentary fitting. It could be a life-changing experience, and any customer that receives a fitting during the fortnight will also receive a free pair of Bendon cotton briefs.
