Nicky Hilton stars in September's sexy Lucire

Heiress chooses New Zealand's Lucire to reveal the next stage in her life;Aiden Turner models in 11 pp. feature; Daphne Zuniga is new contributor

Wellington and New York, September 5 (JY&A Media) Nicky Hilton chose New Zealand magazine Lucire as the medium to publicly début her new clothing line, Chick, and granted the publication an exclusive interview and photo shoot in the process. Lucire's September issue launches today and Miss Hilton's cover story forms the centrepiece of its public American-edition announcement at Crobar in Manhattan on September 8.

Miss Hilton's shoot was produced and styled by Brad Batory, Lucire's director of fashion and the designer behind the fast-growing label Indashio. It was photographed by Richard Reinsdorf, who has helmed shoots featuring Sarah Jessica Parker and Leonardo DiCaprio, among others.
'

We're honoured for Brad's hard work, going to Los Angeles to work with Nicky. And we're as honoured that Nicky chose Lucire for this exclusive,' says Lucire editor-in-chief Nicola Brockie.

Miss Hilton's Chick label highlights her talents as a designer. In her revealing exclusive interview, conducted by Mr Batory, she discusses how her public and private personas are at odds.

'I also want to stress that Lucire shoots its own covers—as a policy we do not use stock photography,' she says. 'It should not be too hard to believe that a New Zealand magazine has access to the best.'

Solar Studios, Celebrity International Entertainment, Indashio Fine Jewelry by Crown Gems, Karat Platinum, Paper Bag Princess and Diva Limos contributed to make the shoot a reality.

Actor Aiden Turner (All My Children. The Bill) models for Lucire Men inside the same issue, photographed by Tim Dalton and styled by Luis Taveras. Desirée Gallas, now officially Lucire's luckiest correspondent, got to meet Mr Turner.

Daphne Zuniga (Beautiful People, Melrose Place) is Lucire's new contributor, highlighting issues of mercury poisoning and the environment.

Tying in with its theme, Lucire has some of the sexiest shoots ever published. Mr Reinsdorf has a second shoot, 'Mirage', styled by Illya Knight. Richard Warren, a regular contributor, has another stunner. Janet Liu, the rising New Zealand-based photographer, has crafted two exclusive shoots, shot at Wellington locations.

Fashion, beauty and Volante sections have a similar sexy theme, from getting a sexy look to travel to the British Virgin Islands and Vatulele, Fiji. Elyse Glickman rubs shoulders with Michael Madsen. Phillip Johnson, Vivian Kelly, Jessica Tarazi and other regular contributors complete the September issue.

The Lucire Men supplement included free inside the issue features a round-up of men's products and an interview with Australian author Paul Carter.

'This is one of the greatest issues of Lucire, and it looks like we'll start in the US on a high,' says founding publisher Jack Yan, after the announcement that the magazine would publish an American edition. 'We couldn't ask for a better combination of talents for our first US cover story than Nicky, Brad and Richard.'

Lucire is the only magazine to have started on the web and branched into print in multiple countries.
