Andrew Young, CEO of the Starship Foundation says that they are pleased to have the support from Cadmus.

“Having Cadmus on board as one of the supporters of the Starship Foundation is great, as families and visitors often want to donate to our cause while they are at Starship. As a fundraising team, we need to respond quickly and the use of EFTPOS allows us to gratefully accept many donations – the lifeblood of our organisation. We are very thankful to Cadmus for supplying their latest technology,” says Young.

About Starship Foundation

Starship Children’s Health is focused on giving sick children from across New Zealand and the Pacific the best chance possible. The Starship Foundation is a charity set up to provide additional equipment, support and help to patients, their families and staff - as an extra to state funding. This is only possible through the generosity of people like you and the strength of your support of Starship Children's Hospital.

With the support of donors, we have been able to boost many different areas of child health - from antenatal and newborn services through to other complex services like intensive care, heart, cancer and neurosurgery. We also apply funds to paediatric research and community projects which aim to keep children healthy and happy.

But it's not all about big pieces of equipment or high-tech units. We use donated airpoints to help staff with ongoing medical education and supply donated new clothes and toys to families in desperate need. To help take patients' minds off their illnesses, we supply televisions, videos and DVDs to the wards, as well as musical and play equipment.

We are also proud to have refurbished Starship's central Atrium in the heart of the hospital, themed around a New Zealand Rainforest. It offers a calming area away from the busy and often stressful clinical areas.

Valued supporters and donors help the Starship Foundation make a significant difference to the lives of seriously ill children.
