Clio Awards Announces 12 Participants
In 2006 Future Gold: Young Creatives Program
A dozen creatives under 33 years old from around the world to respond to brief from United Nations in Clio’s third-annual 24-hour challenge.
NEW YORK, May 2, 2006 — The international Clio Awards has named the 12 talented young participants from around the world who will compete in the 2006 Future Gold: Young Creatives Program, one of its key initiatives in support of the next generation of advertising creatives.
Now in its third year, this global competition calls for the dozen Future Gold participants to be paired into six teams and asked to respond within 24 hours to a creative brief, this year coming from the United Nations refugee agency.
A group of world-renowned Clio jury members will provide feedback on preliminary presentations before selecting three teams of finalists to present their ideas to Elisabeth Nolet, Head of Public Affairs, Private Sector and Public Affairs, External Relations at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, before an audience of Clio delegates at the annual international Clio Festival, held May 13-16, 2006, in Miami Beach, FL. The winning Future Gold team will be named at the Clio Content & Contact, Print, Internet, Design & Innovative Media Awards Gala on Monday night, May 15.

The Future Gold: Young Creative Program is coordinated by the Clio Awards, in conjunction with Ignacio Oreamuno, director of ihavanidea. The 47th international Clio Awards Festival will be held May 13-16, 2006, in South Beach, Miami, FL. Many exciting events are planned, including the opening night Hall of Fame reception, the Lifetime Achievement Award presentation, creative workshops and seminars, two awards galas and screenings of the Clio TV Shortlist.
