The Baking Industry Association of New Zealand 'NZ Baker of the Year Competition' is recognised as the New Zealand baking industry's most competitive event, and coveted baking title. The entries are due this Friday, 26 May, with judging and media viewing scheduled for the afternoon. Among the favourites to win is Tyrone Vincent of Pop-In Patisserie in Matakana. Details are outlined below.

Bakers from across the country will be competing for the overall title of NZ Baker of the Year, as well as Division Titles in: Best Cake Baker, Best Pastrycook, Best Bread Baker.
