Be inspired with the latest NZ House & Garden

The September issue of NZ House & Garden opens with a beautiful Wellington bungalow, owned by local star real estate agent Margo McAuley. Overlooking Karaka Bay, the house is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of daily life, full of clean lines and calm colours.

Equally stunning but vastly different in style is a Waiheke Island masterpiece of minimalism designed by Richard Priest.

"The September issue showcases a selection of striking houses and the people who have created them - perfect inspiration in time for spring," says Michal McKay, Editorial Director.

"And our special feature this issue examines floors and walls and the best ways to light them using colour and pattern - a handy source of ideas for readers planning a spring clean or renovation."

NZ House & Garden visits two offshore fashionistas with Kiwi connections. Hilary Alexander, Fashion Director for the Daily Telegraph and originally from Napier, shows off her London cottage and a collection of unique treasures from many a fashion shoot. Cook Island designer Ellena Tavioni walks readers through her beautiful screen-printed leisure and swimwear designs and the unique printing process she uses to great effect.

Also in the September issue:
* A beautiful Marlborough "Garden of Eden" - the perfect wedding setting. * A Queenstown haven overlooking the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu pays homage to the architectural genius of the arts and crafts movement.
* Cuisine food editor Ray McVinnie takes readers through his Auckland home - and how he created his perfect place.
