Wotif.com customers come up roses

Auckland – 31 October 2006: As accommodation bookings increase for the Ellerslie International Flower Show (15 - 29 November), customers of Wotif.com ( www.wotif.com) - New Zealand’s leading accommodation website - have voted the rose as their favourite flower or plant.*

Working in partnership with the event organizers, Wotif.com gave away Diamond Club tickets to the show, along with accommodation and Thrifty car hire. In return, they asked people to nominate their favourite flower or plant.

Overwhelming support went to the rose as favourite, followed by daffodils, lilies, tulips, chrysanthemums, rhododendrons, orchids, freesias, dahlias and sunflowers.

Wotif.com NZ Manager Tania Witheford, said “I am delighted to be able to support the Ellerslie International Flower Show, a premier event for gardening and flower enthusiasts, held at the Manurewa Botanical Gardens, south of Auckland.

“Wotif.com has partnered with the organisers of the show to offer a wide range of accommodation close to the event and in Auckland itself,” she added.
