Air New Zealand Enhances In-flight Entertainment
Air New Zealand customers on international flights are going to be spoilt for entertainment choice from March 1.
The airline will increase the amount of audio and video entertainment content available from 200 hours to approximately 450 hours.
Group General Manager International Airline Ed Sims says that from March 1 Air New Zealand will be offering customers one of the most comprehensive and high quality selections of movies, television programmes and music available in the air.
“With over 450 hours of entertainment you could fly nine times to London and back without watching the same thing twice, if you choose not to sleep,” says Mr Sims.
The content enhancement will mean customers travelling on the Boeing 777 or 747 aircraft will have access to an amazing 82 movies, 150 television programmes, 185 CDs, 24 radio shows, 15 games and numerous information pages.
“Customers have been telling us they really enjoy getting the chance to watch some movies and television programmes before they make it on to the screen in New Zealand .We are confident that offering an even greater selection of on-demand in-flight entertainment will entice more people to travel to and from New Zealand with us,” says Mr Sims.
Mr Sims says Air New Zealand is also increasing its efforts to cater for customers with special in-flight entertainment needs.
As a result of this two Hollywood Blockbusters with English subtitles for deaf passengers will be on offer each month from March 1.
Also around forty-five more foreign language film options are being made available, nearly tripling the original amount on offer.
Air New Zealand recently reappointed Inflight Productions, a leading provider of in-flight entertainment services as content supplier for their fleet’s entertainment content.
