Hot tips on how to shine oncourse

Angela Daniel Jewellery is bringing Nuffield Street alive this Thursday (1st March) in celebration of Auckland Cup Week.

As sponsor of Starcraft at Arrowfield Diamond Day, Angela Daniel is ensuring everyone knows to dress well for the finale of Auckland Cup Week (Saturday 3 March) to be in to win a $25,000 diamond just for turning up, frocked up, on the day.

Accompanied by celebrity fashion police, TV3 weather presenter Toni Marsh; Miss Popularity winner Jesse Gurunathan and Radio Sport host, Willie Lose, Angela’s Angels will be roaming Ellerlsie seeking the most stylishly outfitted racegoers.

After being arrested the fashion culprits will then go in the draw to be matched with a horse in the Ford Diamond Stakes and the entrant with the winning horse will take home a stunning, twinkling diamond worth $25,000.

At her special Cup Week cocktail event on Thursday, Angela Daniel celebrates the glamour of the Races and jewellery’s position as the ultimate racing accessory; surrounded by guests sipping Kir Royales from champagne saucers by the light of the sparkles on display.

Racing fun continues instore with the Auckland Cup on display and a phantom running of the Diamond Stakes with one of New Zealand’s leading commentators, Andrew (Butch) Castles.

As a connosieur of all things sparkling Angela’s advice for racegoers is to carefully choose jewellery that complements your chosen outfit.

“If you have gone for a very classic racewear look, don’t let it be dominated by large chunky accessories; small diamonds, drop earrings and a bangle will look great”.

“Don’t be afraid of colour”, says Angela. “There is a wide variety of quality natural gemstones set in rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings that look stunning teamed with racewear and party outfits”.

As a trained gemmologist and business owner for the past five years, Angela knows jewellery.

Since opening her first two namesake stores in August, Angela has led the way in creating stunning pieces of jewellery for men and women who desire quality, contemporary pieces that remain timeless.

Angela Daniel Jewellery stores are in Nuffield Street and in Sylvia Park.
