RMB Capital Partners Invests to Support Expansion

RMB Capital Partners Invests in NDA Group to Support Further International Expansion

Private equity group RMB Capital Partners has today announced an investment in New Zealand based NDA Group.

RMB Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity investor, will support NDA as the business expands from its market leading position in New Zealand’s stainless steel fabrication industry and continues to grow its international operations.

RMB partner Nick Batchelor described NDA as a unique investment opportunity in New Zealand. “NDA has operated in New Zealand for over 100 years; it’s an icon in the local manufacturing industry. NDA’s leadership in its home market, along with significant operations in China, represent a compelling platform to compete internationally on price and quality.”

Since 1998, NDA Group has been owned by its senior management team led by Managing Director, Gary Mollard. Mr Mollard said “We are delighted to have RMB Capital Partners join us as a major shareholder. The business is poised for significant expansion on the back of our investment in China, and we have searched extensively for a suitable partner to support the business as it grows.”

NDA Group chief executive officer, Rob Alloway, noted that NDA’s management team and directors will hold a 40% shareholding in the business alongside RMB. “The NDA Group has grown from humble beginnings to become Asia Pacific’s premier stainless steel fabricator. RMB has now joined the management team shareholders to support further growth into markets such as the United States and Europe.”
