air2there.com completes Wellington rail link

air2there.com completes Wellington region rail link

Another first has been chalked up by Paraparaumu-based airline air2there.com. This week saw the start of a linkage that makes travel to the airport, from anywhere in greater Wellington electrified network serviced by TranzMetro.

“air2there.com flight tickets can now be purchased with an add-on for travel to or from Paraparaumu station from any other electrified network TranzMetro station,” says airline manager Richard Baldwin. “These integrated tickets mean that passenger travel, on both the rail network and the air2there.com air service, is as simple as it can be, with one ticket giving you almost door-to-door rail/flight travel.”

“Transfers between the station and the air2there.com airport terminal are included, these will initially be by ground shuttle. However plans for a monorail link from the railway station to the terminal and then on to the Paraparaumu beach area will further increase access.

“With its heyday in the 50s and 60s as a major New Zealand airfield, Paraparaumu Airport will once again be serviced by public transport to facilitate scheduled commuter air transport.”

air2there.com tickets and TranzMetro add-on same-day travel can be purchased online from air2there.com or calling 0800 777 000.

air2there.com is a regional air service for Central New Zealand. air2there.com is based at Paraparaumu Airport and is dedicated to providing a fast, affordable regional service. Charter services are available to many smaller airports throughout New Zealand.
