Hell Network Grows, Same Store Sales Up

Hell Network Grows, Same Store Sales Up

News that Pizza Hut is continuing to drag down the profitability of Restaurant Brands is no surprise to Colin Mellar, Head of HELL.

"Our same store sales growth for the last six months is around nine per cent and five more HELL stores are planned to open in the next few weeks, including a massive new concept store in Te Atatu South that will aim to attract a dine-in market to the chain," said Colin Mellar.

HELL's network now stands at 66 stores, up from 64 stores six months ago. There are five more stores in development at the present time.

"Of particular concern in the latest media reports on Restaurant Brands is the news that chairman Ted Van Arkel won't give shareholders or media any indication about future plans for Pizza Hutt except to say that the company is continuing to exit the dine-in market.

"We would very much like to know what his plans are because we have always been able to look to what Pizza Hut is doing and then do the complete opposite. We've found this approach to be one of the most effective business planning strategies to ensure HELL continues to flourish.

The HELL network has a turnover of $64 million across its 66 store network that stretches from Whangarei to Invercargill.
