TelstraClear Achieves Gold

TelstraClear today announced it has achieved Cisco Gold partnership status.

TelstraClear's Head of Enterprise and Government Mark Wilson said achieving Gold gives TelstraClear an even higher profile in the ICT market.

"We are now part of a select group of companies that can sell and support market leading Cisco data networking equipment," says Mr Wilson.

"We've combined the best of TelstraClear and Sytec to become a Gold partner, starting the process at the end of 2006 and being awarded Gold status this month after an external audit," he says.

"Gold status reflects the high level of skills and capabilities in all areas of Cisco technologies, including intelligent networking, unified communications, security and wireless solutions. Gold partner status awards the highest levels of benefits in recognition of this, and assures customers of the appropriate skills to provide support to their solutions," he says.

"The process was watertight; with us having to complete a number of unit standards and a committed team of people being trained to qualify in a number of competencies," he says.

"We are serious about Cisco solutions, and our shareholder Telstra, also has Gold partner status and is the largest Gold partner in Australasia."

Mr Wilson said TelstraClear would be reviewed annually to keep the Gold status. There are only four other Gold status partners in New Zealand.
