Harcourts’ Latest Office Adds to Auckland Presence

NEWS RELEASE

Harcourts’ Latest Office Adds to Growing Auckland Presence

16 October 2007

A focus on growing in the key Auckland market has seen Harcourts further build its presence with a newly opened office in Greenhithe on the North Shore.

Under the experienced ownership of David Cattanach, Harcourts Greenhithe opened its doors 1 October and is being managed by long-term sales consultant, Sylvia Cooper. David Cattanach has been with Harcourts for 24 years and was one of Harcourts’ founding franchise owners in 1991. He also owns offices in Hobsonville, Massey and Kumeu covering markets from first homes and investments through to high end lifestyle blocks and multi-million dollar waterfront homes in the Greenhithe area.

He described Greenhithe as “a combination of an older established area with million and multi-million dollar homes including waterfront, through to new expansive upmarket estates.” He added that Greenhithe had experienced rapid growth over recent years and with its easy access to the North Shore, the West and central downtown Auckland due to the new motorway extension, was a popular place to live.

“With the increasingly easy access, what had for some time been a small boutique area has very much blossomed in recent times with most of the new housing in the million dollar arena.”

“I have had plans to open a Greenhithe office for some years and while we had been servicing the area, I felt it was important to open an office so the local community really knew we were here and we were serious about our commitment to them.” The boutique office with up to four sales consultants is in a corner position within Greenhithe’s small retail centre providing high visibility for their clients’ property listings.
