Motorcycle Dealer Wins Retail Award

Number One Yamaha dealer ‘Waikato Yamaha’ won the Waikato Times Retail Excellence Award at the 2007 Westpac Waikato Business Awards at Mystery Creek in Hamilton.

The judges said “Waikato Yamaha had developed an excellent systems based operation in a relatively short time”. Company directors Campbell Hicks and Jason de Haan founded the company in May 2004 and quickly gained recognition in the Motorcycle industry. “This is great exposure for the motorcycle industry and shows that it is important to compare your business against the wider business community to see if you’re on the right track” Campbell said.

Companies must demonstrate they show leadership, planning, customer focus, quality systems, people management, innovation, community and industry contribution, and business performance.
