Press Release - Planet Travel Celebrates 13 Years

Planet Travel Celebrates 13 Years and Launches their new website integrating flights, accommodation and car rental bookings online.

Auckland, New Zealand, August 08, 2008

- To celebrate its 13 years of being in the travel industry, Planet Travel has launched a new website , http://www.planettravel.co.nz , with a booking system that allows customers to book flights, accommodation and rental cars all in one sitting. This makes travel planning easier as the customer can tailor their itinerary with all the information they need at their finger tips. According to Planet Travel's Managing Director, Edith Carpenter, "Planet Travel worked really hard to achieve this project as it is our continuing vision to provide services that will make travel preparations hassle free. Over the years, customers have always stressed the need for convenience and we believe that in bringing this technology first to our customers we are responding to that need."

Aside from offering holiday packages and information on travel destinations, the website also has wide-ranging selection of pilgrimage tours. As per Ms. Carpenter, "Pilgrimage tours are a growing part of our core business and putting the special deals on the website enables us to reach a wider audience. Our travel agency has previously handled pilgrimage tours to Italy and Israel. We have also organized travel arrangements for past World Youth Day held in Rome in 2000, Toronto in 2002, and Cologne 2005 and this year 2008 in Sydney, Australia."

Another unique service offered on the site is the Travel Tools/Virtually There® section. It gives the customers helpful information regarding currency conversions, worldwide weather, and safe places to visit and it even sends text messages to your mobile phone regarding any flight changes.

The new site also includes wedding packages, Christmas deals and the handy activities section where you can pre-book chosen activities before arriving in your destination. As an example, if heading for Las Vegas, you can pre-book Broadway shows on the site.

To make the site secure for its users, it is supported by SSL technology that provide secure communications on the Internet.

Recognized by Gulliver's Travel as one of the top five independent travel agencies, Planet Travel was founded in 1995 by Edith Carpenter, MNZITT. A member of IATA since 1996, it is 100% New Zealand owned and operated. Even though the travel industry has been growing more competitive over the years, the business is thriving with more than 50% of the business coming from repeat customers. Ms. Carpenter credits her staffers who have always stood by their company motto of putting yourself in the traveller's shoes. "Whatever the situation, we always find ways to help our customer and make sure that they end up getting the best deal available", she says.

Customers are assured that if they need help with their online bookings, they can ring Planet Travel at (09) 377 1933 or if ringing from outside Auckland,
call 0800-11-11-31, and a dedicated online travel consultant will be on hand to assist them.

For more information or online bookings, visit www.planettravel.co.nz. Planet Earth Travel's head office is located at Level 7 Smith and Caughey Bldg,
253 Queen Street, Auckland City, New Zealand, with 11 well travelled and customer focused staff.
