Tika Merino to Showcase Expanded Eco Friendly Line

Tika Merino to Showcase Expanded Eco Friendly Line at ECOLLECTION at MAGIC

tika merino's new eco chic styles for men and women mix, match and layer for travel and everyday wear

ALEXANDRA, New Zealand, August 5, 2008 - Eco friendly fashion designer tika limited announced today plans to present an expanded tika merino line of fashion apparel at booth number E7601 in the new ECOLLECTION area at MAGIC in Las Vegas, Nevada, August 25-27, 2008.

New additions to the tika merino line of clothing made from lightweight New Zealand merino include an a-line skirt, sleeveless tunic and cardigan for women. For men, tika is introducing a short sleeve polo shirt and a long sleeve mock turtleneck.

"The expanded tika merino line allows customers to mix, match and layer for everyday style that is both eco chic and comfortable," said Barbara Anderson, managing director of tika limited. "Naturally wrinkle resistant and lightweight, tika merino is also perfect for travel as it packs easily and helps you adjust to changes in temperature."

Merino has been a popular fabric with New Zealand fashion designers for many years. Super fine and soft against the skin, merino keeps its color and shape over time.

"We often hear comparisons of merino to cashmere," said Barbara Anderson. "In contrast to cashmere, merino is machine washable, highly breathable, and comfortable in both warm and cold climates."

The introduction of the ECOLLECTION at MAGIC signals the growing popularity of apparel in the eco friendly fashion category. A natural fiber, New Zealand merino is sustainable, biodegradable, annually renewable, and a good fit for retailers looking for eco chic apparel.

tika limited's support of local resources and protection of the environment goes beyond sourcing and manufacturing in New Zealand. tika operates on a carbon zero basis, offsetting carbon emissions with carbon credits that support regeneration of native forests in New Zealand.
