PEPi Systems And Meta Office To Work Together

Nick Stanley, CEO of PEPi Systems, and Richard Hamilton-Williams, Director of Meta Office today announced that the two companies are working together, commencing with the release of a PEPi-powered student portal for the Take2 student management system.

Take2, developed and supported by Meta Office of Wellington is the most widely used student management system in New Zealand with over 170 licences throughout the country. Take2’s sister product Nipper, has been sold to over 60 smaller training providers.

PEPi was developed in Australia and has established itself in that market with a browserbased student management system that offers a wide range of functionality. PEPi is capable of meeting the needs of universities, institutes of technology, and private training providers.

Both Meta Office and PEPi Systems have earned a first class reputation for the reliability of their products, for the quality of their support, and for offering clients a wide range of client-specific extensions to the core student management products.

``PEPi is the first student management system to successfully provide a browser-based product in a flexible .NET framework that has the capacity to be both hosted and installed onsite. We work closely with our clients to tailor our product to their requirements,’’ says Nick.

Richard explains that Take2’s strength has been its ability to manage the complex requirements of the New Zealand tertiary environment. ``We have always aimed to provide clients with a system that is simple to use and which they can rely on to meet the demands of agencies such as the Tertiary Education Commission and the Ministry of Education.’’

By combining PEPi’s technology with Take2’s compliance features the two companies will offer existing clients an excellent upgrade option, and will have an extremely attractive product for the many organisations currently looking to replace their older systems. ``Our pricing for both licence fees and ongoing support is extremely competitive when compared to the products now in the market,’’ says Nick.

``Our first project is to offer existing Take2 users a PEPi powered student portal in early 2009 that lets student view their records and update their contact details,’’ says Richard. ``This will allow even small training providers to offer their students a service that is normally only available to university students.’’
