Be Snug with Pink® Batts® and EECA

Be Snug with Pink® Batts® and EECA

New Zealand’s most popular insulation brand, Pink® Batts®, has joined forces with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) to help middle income kiwi families insulate their homes for less.

The EECA Energywise™ programme has already helped refit almost 50,000 low income kiwi homes, and around 500 middle income homes, with better insulation and other energy efficient measures.

“We decided to partner with EECA Energywise™ programme to help middle income families be warmer and healthier over the coming winter. In New Zealand we have almost 900,000 homes that have little or no insulation,” says Kristine Jones, Marketing Manager at Tasman Insulation.

Through Energywise™, the Pink® Batts® ‘Be Snug’ programme is offering funding assistance towards the cost of installing home insulation (or an upgrade of existing insulation if it fails to meet current housing requirements). Funding assistance is available as a grant of one third of the cost of improvements, capped at $1125 (incl GST). Or homeowners can apply for an interest subsidy on a loan, where the interest on a loan is covered up to a maximum of $1400 (incl GST).

Tasman Insulation is offering a package to homeowners, which includes options for Pink® Batts® ceiling insulation, Pink® Batts® Snugfloor™ underfloor insulation (a new range due out shortly), hot water cylinder wrap, Climaflex® pipe lagging, and the PinkFit® installation service.

“We wanted to create a programme that is in reach of the average New Zealander, with a brand they know and trust” says Ms Jones. Everyone knows a warm, dry home is important to family health, but we appreciate the cost and inconvenience of doing it yourself can put people off. With this programme, the homeowner gets Pink® Batts® insulation, hassle free installation by PinkFit® and a subsidy from the government.”
