TVNZ Gets Global Recognition For Advertising Quality

TVNZ is ranked third in the world for the quality of the advertising it produces to promote the company and its programmes.

Bestadsontv.com Rankings, a reputable and comprehensive website that measures creativity in the advertising community on a weekly basis throughout the year, has just announced the final result for 2008 – and it rates TVNZ third, behind Volkswagen and Procter & Gamble, in the world’s best client rankings.

All others listed in the ‘client’ category behind TVNZ were multi-national brands backed by massive advertising budgets, including Adidas, Coca-Cola and McDonald’s.

The ranking is recognition of the calibre and creativity of advertising material for such programmes as Shortland Street, Dancing with the Stars and Stars in their Eyes as well as some one-off creative ideas for movies on TV2.

TVNZ’s Head of Marketing, Jason Paris, says the ranking is a huge achievement, which places TVNZ in the company of some of the world’s biggest and best-known brand names.

“This is a globally-acknowledged measure of the consistent quality of our advertising and promotional work throughout the course of a whole year, and a testament to the great work of all those who were involved.”
