TANDBERG Strengthens New Zealand Presence

Company Announces New Wellington Office and Senior Sales Executive Appointment

WELLINGTON, February 19, 2009 – TANDBERG® (OSLO: TAA. OL), a leading global provider of telepresence, high-definition video conferencing and mobile video solutions, today launched offices in Wellington to service an ever expanding base of government and private sector customers located in the New Zealand capital.
 
At the same time, the company has appointed Pete Middelplaats as New Zealand Account Manager.  
 
Middelplaats joins TANDBERG with more than ten years’ experience in the IT industry and 19 years’ overall experience in sales and business development.  He will be responsible for driving sales, working with local partners and managing regional customer relationships within New Zealand   
 
Previously, Middelplaats worked as Client Director at Datacraft where he was responsible for new business development, leading a team of consultants and developing solutions and strategies aimed at delivering critical customer support.
 
Prior, he worked in a variety of business development management positions for Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems and Telecom where he drove revenue, managed key accounts and established new business strategies.
 
TANDBERG originally launched offices in Auckland in 2006 and has implemented solutions at BECA, APN Media, Bank of New Zealand, ASB Bank, Meridian Energy, Fisher and Paykel and Vodafone New Zealand.  The company’s partners in New Zealand include Agile, Canon, and IBM.
