NZ Natural Products Industry Summit

Rotorua - 2nd April 2009

The Natural Products industry will converge on Rotorua for a one day summit to discuss the current economic environment and the challenges and opportunities that presents.

Themed “Creating Opportunity in Challenging Times” the conference is for nutraceuticals, therapeutic products, dietary supplements, functional foods and cosmetic companies and is hosted by Natural Products New Zealand with the support of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, and James & Wells Intellectual Property.

International and local speakers include :

Dr Peter Clifton – CSIRO Australia
Tony Falkenstein – Entrepreneur
Sheldon Baker – Baker Dillon Group (USA)
Jeff Hilton – Integrated Marketing Group (USA) by live webcast from New York

Natural Products NZ executive director, Michelle Beckett, says it is hoped this year’s summit will deliver some real solutions to some of the industry’s challenges.

“Every business needs to be proactive in dealing with the current economic climate. We have secured leaders in their field to present case studies and learnings that will help many of our New Zealand natural products businesses who rely heavily on global markets.”

The industry awards dinner will be held in the evening.
